The Wells & District Chamber of Commerce has been in existence since 1936 when it was registered in Ottawa with the Board of Trade. It has represented the local business community since that time.
Along with recent new interest and growth in Wells, the Chamber has had a resurgence over the last few years. Our 2003 membership had more than 40 supporters. We offer new ideas and a growing enthusiasm. Become a Chamber decision maker through your membership and participation.

Your Wells & District Chamber membership offers membership in the BC Chamber. This provides lower long distance rates through Chamber Tel, lower Master Card and Visa merchant rates and participation in the Shell Fleet Plan.

The www.wellsbc.com website has been significantly upgraded. The site improvements include an increased ease of navigation, a restaurants section, an accommodations section, and a special section for tour operators describing the wide variety of activities available for their guests in the area. All of this is available to Chamber members only.

Fifty thousand of these attractive promotions have been distributed throughout BC at Visitor Information Centres over the past five years.
LOCAL MAP BROCHURE
This is an inexpensive publication enabling the visitor to find their way around Wells, Barkerville and Bowron Lake. Chamber members are listed in the brochure.
LOCAL INFORMATION CENTRE
Our Visitor Information Centre is housed at the Wells Museum on Pooley Street, just off Hwy 26. It is open seven days a week between May 15 and Labour Day and three days a week between December and March. Chamber members can rack their brochures for free; non members are charged $50.
